Terry Richards was a person obsessed with knowing everything. When she discovered a way to unlock all 100% of your brain, S.H.E.I.L.D shut her down saying it was to dangerous to hold all that brain power. Even though Terry still went through with the operation in secret. When S.H.E.I.L.D found out about this they sent their best guys to have her killed. Furious with this Terry became Miss Terry (Mystery) the "God." She wiped out all Of Nick Fury's execution squad. Fascinated with her new-found powers, she went out into the world.
